Profile: building a social platform ready for scale

Led product vision, architecture, and two engineering squads through the evolution of a professional social platform: from a legacy monolith to a distributed, service-oriented system.

The challenge

The original AngularJS and ASP.NET MVC platform had reached the limits of the product’s next growth stage. The system needed stronger performance, clearer service boundaries, and a development model multiple squads could evolve safely.

The response

Directed a complete product and technical redesign around a React PWA, Go services, GraphQL gateway, Kafka event backbone, and multiple purpose-fit databases.
